Lavoir Vasserot exhibition - ANDERSEN Liselotte
From 29/05/2025 to 04/06/2025
Born in 1968, Liselotte Andersen is a Franco-Danish sculptor who has lived in Provence since 2002. Her career has taken her to North Africa, Denmark, Central Asia and Paris, all experiences that nourish her artistic universe.
Self-taught, she honed her technique through various training courses, notably at the École Supérieure d'Art d'Aix-en-Provence and at art foundry workshops.
Her bronze work is characterized by pure, abstract forms, exploring human attitudes and interactions. She draws on her experience at UNESCO, where she worked on cultural diversity and the culture of peace and non-violence, to infuse her works with a universal dimension. Her sculptures evoke movement, interaction and emotion, recalling the influence of artists such as Alberto Giacometti, known for his slender, stylized figures, and Henry Moore, famous for his organic, abstract forms.
Among his notable works, "L'énergie vitale" illustrates his mastery of raw bronze and his interest in the dynamics of form. "Over the moon" reflects his exploration of human relationships through harmonious compositions. "Etats d'esprit" captures the diversity of human postures with minimalist elegance.
Liselotte Andersen is represented by a number of galleries on a permanent basis, and her sculptures are also shown in short-lived exhibitions in France and abroad in public and private spaces, notably at the Grand Palais in Paris and at international fairs such as the Luxembourg International Art Fair.
Her work reflects a constant quest for spontaneous expression, experimentation with materials and dialogue between form and space, placing her in the tradition of twentieth-century sculptors.
