Paul Richard Mason's exhibition at the Lavoir Vasserot will showcase his new works: paintings, sculptures, drawings and unique decorative objects.
Self-taught, Mason, born August 31, 1967 in Rockford, U.S.A., discovered the South of France at the age of 25, fell under the spell of Saint-Tropez and settled there. Also a musician, he founded a recording studio, collaborated with numerous artists and still performs today with his pop-rock band.

On the artistic side, Mason creates his first collection of paintings, Les expressions de l'homme, which attracts the attention of a New York gallery. After a year as artist-in-residence, he participated in exhibitions in Europe and the United States. In 2010, he opened his own gallery in the heart of Saint-Tropez, collaborating with his partner Alissia Noirez to develop his now international reputation.

His work blends a variety of influences: reminiscences of the cubism of Picasso and Braque, colorist verve reminiscent of Robert Combas, and monumentality akin to the primitive arts. His latest works celebrate feminine sensuality, offering a vibrant hymn to the female form. Her creations navigate between figurative and abstract, black and white and vibrant colors, giving color a strong emotional charge. Black strokes delineate shapes, revealing silhouettes and faces. In her portraits, flat tints and fine lines convey both joy and melancholy.
