Lighthouse cladding - Saint-Tropez Couleur Bleu 2024
From 15/06/2024 to 01/11/2024
After Paul Signac in 2022 and Colette in 2023, this year we'll be paying tribute to Brigitte Bardot on her 90th birthday, on September 28.
An exceptional edition in which, for the first time, the Lighthouse will be adorned with photographs (and not created works) chosen from the "magic suitcase" of her friend and photographer Jicky Dussart, a Tropezian photographer if ever there was one, with whom Bardot shared sixty years of friendship.
The Lighthouse will thus offer two faces of BB, one on the sea side, with a natural Bardot in all her beauty, enveloped by a setting sun, and the other on the land side with a smiling Bardot among her animal friends.
The choice of photographer was made by BB, who immediately embraced the project as "unique" and wanted to share the headlining role out of loyalty to Jicky: the photographer would be a hundred years old today! His son, Pion Dussart, took the opportunity to find some previously unpublished photos, which the public will be able to enjoy from June 15 to November 1, 2024, from three different points of view: air, land and sea, as the lighthouse is the focal point of the village during the summer season, when boats come and go from the prettiest port on the Côte d'Azur.
This operation, supported by the town, and in particular by Mayor Sylvie Siri, is an opportunity not only to celebrate the great Lady of Saint-Tropez, but also to delve into the life and work of the woman who made Saint-Tropez world-famous with the 1955 release of "Et Dieu créa la Femme"...
From 15/06 to 01/11/2024, daily.
Free of charge.
