STUDIO OREKA is a trans-disciplinary architecture studio based in the heart of the village of Saint-Tropez. Its team works with restaurants, hotels and private clients to create customized spaces and venues.
Having arrived in Saint-Tropez in the 90s, designer David Granata founded Studio Oreka with architect DPLG Karine Mery in 2018. Surrounded by draughtsmen, site supervisors and young architecture graduates, Studio Oreka is the guarantor of an artistic audacity that can be found in brasseries, hotels, restaurants, as well as private villas.
The studio has already made a name for itself with several emblematic projects, including the restaurant, lobby, terrace and swimming pool at the Hôtel des Lices, the renovation of the Hôtel de La Ponche and the Café de l'Ormeau in Ramatuelle, the interior design of the Salama restaurant in Cannes and Saint-Tropez, and the Indie Mountain in Megève.
What all these projects have in common is, first and foremost, their context. This is an imperative for the studio, which prides itself on a contextual approach that takes into account local and geographical specificities.
Secondly, originality - the studio's signature. This desire to depart from the norm, to get off the beaten track and to multiply stylistic exercises. It's accompanied by a unique creative touch, made possible by the search for innovative, different and amusing materials, objects and furnishings that have been hunted down, as well as works by creators and designers.
Finally, emotion. The emotion you feel when you draw a sketch, and which must re-emerge, intact, once the design is complete.
