Monday, September 10, 2024 - 7pm. To open the 22nd Festival d'Automne, we welcome the brilliant and celebrated soprano Sandrine PAIU ("Lyric Artist of the Year" at the 2009 Victoires de la Musique Classique awards).
The equally brilliant French pianist David KADOUCH ("Instrumental Soloist of the Year" at the 2010 Victoires de la Musique Classique awards) will also be present.

It's an honor to welcome to Saint-Tropez the brilliant artists Sandrine PIAU and pianist David KADOUCH, equally appreciated by audiences and critics alike, in a program entitled "Voyage intime", featuring 19th-century musicians.

A graduate of the CNSMD in Paris in harp, chamber music and interpretation of early vocal music, Sandrine PIAU was revealed to the public by William CHRISTIE. Today, she boasts an extensive repertoire, confirming her exceptional position in the world of opera. Sandrine Piau has made several discs devoted to Handel and Mozart, and published numerous albums of recitals which have received numerous awards (Gramophone Editor's Choice, Diapason d'or, Choc Classica, Clef d'or ResMusica ...). Sandrine PIAU was made a Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres in 2006 and voted "Lyric Artist of the Year" at the 2009 Victoires de la Musique awards.

Born in 1985, David KADOUCH trained with Odile Poisson at the C.N.R. in Nice, with Jacques Rouvier at the CNSM in Paris, with Dmitri BASHKIROV at the Reina Sofia School in Madrid, and with Murray PERAHIA, Maurizio POLLINI, Maria-Joao PIRES, Daniel BAREMBOÏM, Vitaly MARGULIS, Itzhak PERLMAN, Elisso VIRSALADZE and Emanuel KRASOVLY. At 13, he played at New York's Metropolitan Hall, and at 14 at Moscow's Tchaikovsky Conservatory. In 2005, he was a guest at the Salzburg and Verbier Academies (Prix d'Honneur in 2009), then a finalist in the Leeds International Piano Competition in 2009. He has recorded a number of CDs, most recently the 2022 release "Les Musiques de Madame Bovary" (Mirare), which explores the musical universe surrounding Flaubert's heroine.
